She has worked as a part of a new teacher mentoring program, as well as creating a GED program that worked to provide a safe place for young people to prepare for their GED exams. Risa's experience in classrooms has been varied - from brick-and-mortar public schools, to charter schools, private schools and fully virtual schools.
