LAUSD Superintendent Austin Beutner on "Marshall Plan" For Schools

Los Angeles Unified School District Superintendent Austin Beutner published an op-ed in the Washington Post calling for a federal “Marshall Plan” to help LA schools recover from COVID-19. He wrote the op-ed with the superintendents from New York City and Chicago public schools, calling for a federal relief package for cleaning, sanitizing and PPE; testing and contact tracing; mental health support; and in-person instruction next summer to make up for learning loss.
