The song is about an old, down-and-out dancer, showing his dances in a prison cell. The most famous artist covering this song was Sammy Davis Jr. who used this tune as a final song in his live shows. Mr. Bojangles has been covered in more than 100 different versions. This variant is based on the big band version of Robbie Williams, first published on his CD "Swing When You're Winning" in 2001.
I sang the lead vocals in this song, which was quite demanding in the middle part, producing this husky voice of the old Mr. Bojangles. But listen for yourself if I succeeded.
