Removal
Unsurprisingly, the Florida Senate voted to uphold Ron DeSantis’ removal of Scott Israel as the elected Broward County Sheriff. The decision brought relief to Parkland parents, but also set a troubling precedent of expanding the Governor’s executive powers.
