Joe Gravellese on Restoring Communities through Climate Justice and Public Health
Joe Gravellese is running to be a Massachusetts state rep in a district just north of Boston. Joe centers climate justice in thinking about the opportunities he wants to bring to his community. It’s a community that’s been hit hard by Covid but was fighting some really tough problems before that too. You’re gonna hear him talk some about opioid addiction and the harm that pollution has been doing to the health of residents there. Joe thinks hard about how all these issues are connected, and how marginalized groups and especially communities of color have been hit hard by environmental degradation and pollution, skyrocketing housing costs, and lack of funding for public transit.
