Natarajan "Brazil" Subramanian is a retired professor of Chemistry from the Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB) in João Pessoa, Brazil. He received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Madras in 1959 and his masters degree from the same university in 1963. In 1971, he obtained his PhD degree in physical inorganic from the University of Waterloo in Canada. He moved to Brazil in 1973, where he lives to this date. Dr. Subramanian also has a vast and impressive "extra-curricular" record, including a couple of dangerous accidents, heart attacks and brain stem strokes. He is also an author of a number of lyrics in Tamil and Sanskrit that were later tuned and recorded in the format of Carnatic music.  Note: In Brazil, Father's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of August.
