STUDIO 01: nodisco. Interview
On the thirteenth episode of the video call interview series, Jibril has a conversation with Toronto artist nodisco. nodisco. is the moniker of Chris Toufexis. In 2018, after creating demos with the help of Mike Brandolino from the indie band VALLEY, the first nodisco. demos were formed. These demos would later be embraced by legendary R&B producer Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds to invite nodisco. to a week-long songwriting camp in Toronto. Fast forward to 2020, nodisco. has recently released “Unrelated,” his fourth single to-date, which is finding success with his past records like “Moonlight in My Bedroom,” “Luv U Early,” and his debut single “Thoughts From Your Car.” His work has been featured on a slew of top playlists like "Study Break," "Fresh Finds," and "New Music Friday Canada," and received international praise from the likes of Line of Best Fit, CBC Radio, and Variance.
