Saxon Stone is a visual artist/sculptor.\\xa0 His inspiration comes from living in Chicago, observing nature on his foraging runs to find natural objects from mushrooms to lichens, wood and rock.\\xa0 He believes in the concept of bringing nature into a room and his various pieces of rock walls, planters and the like very much look as if one was transported to a preserve in their home. \\xa0 A young artist, Stone looks to old things, decaying infrastructure, such as rebar and broken concrete, rusting metal with the various patinas and is working on a line of functional art, such as a resin chair that is see-through to the rebar holding it together. \\xa0 He describes his studio as a dusty basement in a building in Chicago that enables him to get a bit dirty as he works with the natural materials he needs for his art.\\xa0 And his philosophy embraces a work ethic of self-discipline, setting goals that tax his energy and hone his creativity at the same time.\\xa0 Meet the artist Saxon Stone.\\xa0
