We talk to Alex Skolnick - World renowned guitarist who helped shape the Thrash Metal landscape with his breakthrough originality of bringing melodic guitar playing to one of the heaviest styles of music there is. Alex's love and passion for music has shown no boundaries and has seen him become as acomplished within the jazz and world music communities as he did in the world of Metal. We talk about his journey from Berkeley, California to the stages of world and how a shy kid was given an indentity by the music of KISS and got music history lessons from his favourite movie soundtrack LPs.
