b'We are celebrating JUNETEENTH! All. Month. Long. The theme for our Juneteenth commemoration is Creative Liberation. Inspired by Alexis Pauline Gumbs teaching that "Freedom isn\'t a secret. It is a practice," the Stitch Please podcast celebrates the many ways that Black women, girls, and femmes continually practice creative ways to get, be, and stay free. \\nWe end our Juneteenth celebration with Jacqueline Shaw. The author of Fashion Africa and Founding Director of Africa Fashion Guide, Jacqueline speaks with Lisa about her desire to have creative autonomy, to share stories of contemporary African designers, and to remake the textile supply chain to better serve people and the planet. After working in the fashion industry, she earned a Master\\u2019s focused on sustainability in textiles and decided to put her education into practice. Today, she advocates for ethical fashion and runs the company Wax and Wraps, which curates subscription boxes of fabrics produced by African designers and entrepreneurs.'
