EP8: Qubit Episode - Life on Venus?

Published: Sept. 18, 2020, 2 p.m.

Qubit Episodes are quick, single-topic episodes which cover a recent significant discovery within the STEM fields.

Scientist have recently published a paper stating they have identified phosphine compounds in the clouds of Venus. The primary source of phosphine creation (that we know of here on Earth) comes from the decomposition of organic material, primarily from microorganisms. Other theories suggest that lighting strikes can produce this compound as well. If it comes to light that the Venus-based phosphine compounds are derived from microorganisms, it will be a paradigm shift of how we believe life can survive in our universe. Article link Here.
