SUT Replayed Ep 5 Tragic Comedy

Published: Nov. 15, 2013, 9:18 a.m.

This is the fifth episode of Stand Up Tragedy Replayed, in which we remix past performances from our live shows so you can hear all of our tragic comedy, music, stories, poetry and much more. All performances were originally recorded at our shows at The Leicester Square Theatre, The Hackney Attic and The Dogstar in Brixton throughout 2012 and 2013. www.standuptragedy.co.uk This episode features some Tragic Comedy, because there's always a funny side to sadness. First we'll hear from character comedian Joz Norris being himself on the Stand Up Tragedy stage in Edinburgh. Then, Matthew Highton makes The Dogstar audience laugh in March 2013. And finally, Arts Emergency co-founder and stand up comedian Josie Long performed exclusive material at The Dogstar in July. www.joznorris.co.uk www.matthewhighton.co.uk www.josielong.com We'll have more live performers for the podcast from our Tragic Christmas show on the 12th December at The Dogstar in Brixton. Tickets are available online now. All proceeds from Tragic Christmas are going to Arts Emergency, a charity who help people from less privileged backgrounds break into the arts. www.arts-emergency.org The Stand Up Tragedy podcast is produced by Bryony Hawkins with audio recording by Stephen Harvey. Our music is created for us by Sam Wilkinson (radiowhan@ymail.com) and George Brufton. It is hosted by Dave Pickering.
