Rod Waterworth commenced\\xa0 the discipline of Dance in his twenties, and subsequently \\u2018opened a new window\\u2019 to a triumphant career on the stage. For several decades Rod has been a delightful fixture of commercial Musical theatre throughout\\xa0 Australia
His professional theatre credits include\\xa0Cats, Anything Goes, The Wizard of Oz, 42nd Street, Me and My Girl, The Pirates of Penzance, My Fair Lady, Red, Hot & Rhonda, Crazy For You, Jolson, Annie, Singin\\u2019 in the Rain, Fiddler on the Roof, Saturday Night\\xa0and various VSO/Opera Australia and Australian Ballet productions.\\xa0
Rod worked regularly in Children\\u2019s theatre for Garry Minivan Attractions and performances include\\xa0Possum Magic, Winnie the Pooh, The Magic Faraway Tree\\xa0and\\xa0The Fairies.
As a regular performer with Melbourne\\u2019s The Production Company, Rod clocked up an amazing array of appearances in\\xa0Mame, She Loves Me, Funny Girl, Call Me Madam, Gypsy, Guys and Dolls, Mack and Mabel, Anything Goes, Bye Bye Birdie, High Society\\xa0and\\xa0The Pajama Game.\\xa0
Rod\\u2019s film and television credits include\\xa0Strange Bedfellows, Da Kath & Kim Code, Scottish Bob, Bed of Roses, The Midday Show\\xa0and\\xa0Good Morning Australia.
Along the way he gave life to the exuberant \\u2018showgirl\\u2019, Laura Gravity; adding another dynamic string to his theatrical bow.
Rod\\u2019s most recent stage role was singing and dancing the story of little orphan Annie. A production he has twice traversed.
He continues navigating the \\u2018roar of the greasepaint\\u2019 attending to his daily post as the congenial stage doorman at the iconic Her Majesty\\u2019s Theatre in Exhibition street, Melbourne.
Whether stage door or stage centre, Rod is a welcome presence to audience and colleagues alike.
