SUNSOMA are one of those bands that need a string of adjectives to best describe their music- they truly have a sound that\\u2019s all their own, and yet are not so left of the field that you can\\u2019t get a firm grasp on their catchy, hooky tunes. O.K here come the adjectives: Alternative/Indie/Rock/Pop-esque - Yep that should cover it.

The band was originally formed 6/7 years ago by Mel and for those with an appetite for all things cultural, the band name comes from a Greek word meaning \\u2018Unity\\u2019. In true Rock \\u2018n\\u2019 Roll style Sunsoma has endured a healthy number of line up changes but their resolve to keep pushing on has never diminished. \\u201c Stuff happens and you\\u2019ve got two choices- winge or go with it! \\u201c says Mel \\u201c music is the most amazing art form on the entire planet and we just love what we do \\u201c

Last October the band weathered one such change, and found themselves \\u2018going with it\\u2019 as they swiftly downsized into the compact yet fully in tact 3 piece that they are today. Having shaken the dust and with creativity levels positively thriving, these three have, it seems, become more tight knit than a woollen wetsuit.
