Bio

Raised in Conna in Cork in the South of Ireland, Nicole Maguire grew up in a big family and was surrounded by music since childhood. Being raised by a strong musical family exposed Nicole to such luminaries as Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone and Joni Mitchell, artists that have later formed the song writing basis for her songs. As well as Jazz, Blues and Folk music Nicole\'s sound is also heavily influenced by contemporary artists and cultures of today. Having already played to capacity crowds in such venues as The Lobby Bar, Cypress Avenue, Nicole recently played her biggest crowd to date at Cork City Hall. Nicole has recently finished recording her debut single with respected Irish producer Karl Odlum (The Frames, Gemma Hayes) and is gearing up for release in early Spring 2006. Nicole\'s sound is a fresh, appealing and innovative approach to music\'s strongest roots.
