Amy Hart and Sarah Walters join Nick this hour: Amy tells the story of her dad in the COVID-19 unit. Amy explained the darkness and sadness within the COVID unit. There was no family visits, no flowers, and no 'get well soon' cards. Unfortunately, their father passed away several weeks after being in the COVID unit. Amy and Sarah talk about The COVID Care Project. The COVID Care Project aims to bring light within the COVID unit. The group is putting together COVID care baskets to be delivered to the patients in the hospital. These baskets will be filled with new warm blankets, motivational posters for their walls or (partition walls), new stuffed animals, and small snacks they might miss from outside the hospital as well as personalized notes from kids to give them hope.
