Hour 1b - Larry Flenoid II joins Nick Reed this morning: House Minority Leader Crystal Quade filed a lawsuit against Larry Flenoid II, who is running as an independent against Quade. Quade alleges Flenoid did not properly gather the signatures to qualify for the Springfield seat. Mr. Flenoid submitted a petition to Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft's office on July 29th, with 288 signatures supporting his candidacy. Mr. Ashcroft determined 221 of those signatures were valid and certified him to run in the 132nd House district in late August. Rumors from Quade supporters are also swirling that Republicans are behind this effort in hopes of driving votes away from Democratic candidates. Mr. Flenoid shares some of the great things he's done in the community, including 417 Day, cleaning and supporting Adopt-a-Highway, dressing up for kids in the community during the holiday season, and much more.
