Hour 3 -  Happy Wednesday! Here's what Nick Reed covers this hour: Democrats and Republicans in Congress have called for an overhaul of law enforcement practices following the police killing of George Floyd, but those same lawmakers who want accountability and transparency nationwide aren’t taking a stance on whether their own department, the Capitol Police, should be subject to the Freedom of Information Act. As a part of the legislative branch, the department remains exempt from the law. Xuan Kha Tran Pham, the 49-year-old man being investigated for the Monday assault of two congressional staffers with a metal bat, was previously charged with assaulting a police officer, but the local Soros-backed prosecutor declined to pursue the charges. Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) on Tuesday told reporters that she’s been at the Capitol working and voting, apparently unaware that she’s spent months away this year due to health problems. Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman struggled with asking basic questions to a Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) executive at a Senate Banking Committee hearing Tuesday. President Joe Biden vetoed a bipartisan resolution Tuesday that would have reversed his executive action last year in which he ordered the Department of Commerce not to enforce tariffs on Chinese solar panel manufacturers for two years.
