Nancy Pelosi’s continued speakership past the November midterms due to redistricting foibles. Last week, Dr. Maryam Mohammadkhani joined Nick Reed to talk about upcoming candidates running for the school board. The Springfield News-Leader wrote a piece about the interview, and reached out to the Springfield National Education Association (NEA). The Springfield NEA responded by saying, "SNEA firmly stands behind our endorsements of Charles Taylor and Brandi VanAntwerp as the best candidates for Springfield Public Schools. How individuals vote is a personal decision, but we hope the community will consider the recommendations of local educators and staff." In an email sent to us, members of the SNEA were asked to complete a survey by November 30th to select a candidate to support. However, in committee notes dated November 18th, a bullet point says, "We can early endorse Charles so he can go ahead and launch his campaign. PAC money is IMPORTANT!"
