In 2019, Missouri changed requirements for state inspections. In August of 2019, Gov. Mike Parson signed Senate Bill 89 into law, which requires inspections for vehicles more than 10 years old or with more than 150,000 miles. Dustin talks about what all is checked during a state inspection. What happens if your vehicle doesn't pass? Across the United States, there are multiple types of inspections, including: annual/biannual inspections, safety inspections, emission inspections, and VIN inspections. The state with one of the strictest vehicle inspections is New York. This is due to the 1982 Anti-Smog program. Dustin briefly talks about this program.
