Thank you again to Robin for commissioning this episode! I just realized that I'm only one episode away from the end of the book, and I'm completely unsure how this can possibly get wrapped up in a satisfactory manner. I'm LOVING this banana-pants book so far, though.

"On the topic of North and Central Coast First Nations stories, there really aren't enough good resources out there - but the best printed collection of Haisla stories is actually by Eden Robinson's late uncle, Gordon Robinson. Some of the other things mentioned, like ogres, ape men (probably the basis for sasquatch legends in the Pacific Northwest), and cannibals are more Haida, as far as I can tell.
