Wow, I knew that another time jump was likely but I didn't think it would be so soon and I didn't think that it would be quite such a big one. However, I'm rather glad of it!
We get to see the results of some of Jia's meddling and inciting rebellion here, and it's still not clear to me what her objective is. Is she just trying to give the warlike factions something to focus on, so that he efforts regarding getting civil laws in place will go less noticed?
Meanwhile, there's an interesting dynamic between her and Zomi, as well as between Zomi and Thera, that I find really compelling. I hope that Zomi learns to trust a little less easily in the future, and that Jia isn't sending her into danger.
