We're almost at the end, and I'm blown away that we're getting another jump ahead of three years so close to the end of the book. This is all moving so fast! Thank you to Kyle for commissioning this episode!
So in this section we get some more clever plans from Kuni and his people, and it's almost sad how easily Mata falls for them. The main one is the setup that implies Master Pering is betraying Mata to Kuni, and nothing Pering says can convince Mata otherwise. He winds up being exiled and murdered by strategically placed bandits on the way out. Oops.
There is so much left to wrap, and only one episode left! Eeek!
