The Fifth Season- Episode 3
Thank you to Ashlynn for commissioning this book, which is absolutely ripping my heart out.
There is so much to cover in these chapters that I went over time just a tad, but damn there is a lot happening! The second-person perspective has "us" sitting with what is undoubtedly the Stone Boy and realizing a little belatedly that there's something weird about the kid. So far that's as far as it's gone but it's only a matter of time until "we" touch him, or catch him eating rocks, anI'm very curious about what happens then.
Meanwhile, we're still traveling with Syenite and Alabaster, and it turns out that poor Syenite has no idea about the world she's living in. She doesn't know, and I'm not sure that after she's learned the truth she's particularly glad to know it. Girl, I can relate. The situation they run across at the Node is one of the most horrific things I have ever read in anything, and it's going to haunt me forever. I tried to explain to Owen and almost started crying just describing the scene.
