I'm glad to be getting back into this world at last, and I'm surprised at how touched I was to see Sonea and Regin on the same side after all that went down between them. I just really like to see people actually learning from their mistakes and regretting their bad behavior, you know? It's a shame that his daughters seem to be kinda shitty though.
Meanwhile, Sonea's son and Dannyl are heading out to Sachaka, and Lorkin is really startled by the vastness of the wasteland and how stark it is. When they finally arrive in Sachaka, Lorkin isn't super comfortable dealing with the slaves, and I wonder if this will be a continuing obstacle for him.
Meanwhile, Cery is still trying to find the Thief Hunter and he goes to an old assassin friend to ask if her contacts know anything. She isn't super helpful, but she is able to tell him one thing; the killer uses magic. Well that narrows it down.
