It's time for a new book, y'all! I can't tell you how excited I am to be returning to the time and place where it all started for me. I'm a big fan of the world that Canavan created in the outskirts of the Imardin, because the common people always interest me way more than the upper classes, and we just didn't get a look at that the same way in the previous book.
These chapters, we find out that there's been roughly a 20-year time jump, and Sonea has had a son who is feeling a lot of pressure because of how famous and powerful his parents are. Not only that, but Sonea is more isolated than I expected due to her Black Magician status, and I'm more bummed about that than I expected? ALSO, things between Tayend and Dannyl aren't going well either! NOOOOO!
