Yo. I know I keeps saying with all the stuff that I've been posting that I "wasn't ready", but what I love is that with all of them I've been totally "not ready" in very different ways. And with this series, my lack of readiness refers to what bananas ideas this author dreamed up.
Kit and Nita wind up in a parallel,dark version of Manhattan when they fall through the Worldgate, and it's mostly populated by Perytons and evil machines that want to bite them, run them over, or swallow them whole. I cannot get over how straight-up fucking bizarre it all is, and I am HERE FOR IT.
Then, they run into one other human (who thankfully does not seem to see them) and manage to steal the MOTHAFUCKIN DARK BOOK and I'm over here wringing my hands like and anxious mom on the sidelines of an unexpectedly dirty soccer game.
