Deadwood, S02E01- A Lie Agreed Upon, Part 1
Thank you to Patrick for commissioning this episode and the next one together so that I got to watch them one right after the other! I want to warn you all that if anyone has been watching along with me for the first time, to avoid being spoiled you're going to want to watch parts 1 & 2 before listening to this episode.
This is quite a start to the season, with a time jump of about 6 months that leads to all kinds of visible changes in the camp. The place is growing, there are more people in and out, and later we see that Seth has even built a whole damn house. A house to welcome his wife and son, who unexpectedly arrive just as Seth is about to be stabbed in the back, and probably save his life.
In other news, Seth and Alma have been carrying on a raucous affair that clearly the whole town knows about, and it's super duper embarassing when she tries to bring a basket over to greet Martha and William. What a painful scene omg.
