Thank you again to Denise for commissioning this episode! I can't believe this book is over already, and I'm both a little sad but a little surprised at how happy the ending wound up being.
When we get right down to it, these chapters end about as ideally as it's possible to be. There's the adorable shacking up of Jesper and Wylan, and Wylan recovering his inheritance and bringing his mother back to live with him. Then there's Inej and Kaz holding hands for the first time, and him finding her family and getting nervous about meeting her family. And of course, Inej facing down Pekka Rollins and scaring him the fuck out of Ketterdam.
The only blight on the perfection of this ending is the fact that Nina lost Matthias, and she's gone away to bury him in Fjerda. I hate this part, and I hate Inej missing her.
