Thank you to Megan for commissioning this episode, and for continuing to have faith in my enjoyment of this show despite it being a musical! Because it's clearly so much more than that.
This episode is excruciating at times because it deals very directly with something that I think a lot of us really fear; that maybe we don't have any friends. Even when we know that we do, there's nothing like throwing a party and realizing that your guest list is shockingly short.
However, it all ends up okay! Actually ends up even better than I had expected or hoped, because of Paula, even though she doesn't get the damn credit she deserved.
