This episode is the one where Ellie tries to convince Tom to move in with her again, and he utterly rejects her, with the air of someone who thinks that rejection is permanent. It's devastating, but it's also what motivates her to get serious about investigating the Sandbrook case, and they find a new lead. Turns out there's a furnace at the end of it.
