Y'all I have to tell you YET AGAIN how fucking nervous it makes me when Lirael goes into Death. Omfg it just gives me the worst anxiety, and she is spending SO LONG in there this time around! And still isn't even halfway to the gate she needs! I can't handle it.
There's a lot going on with Mogget, too, which I didn't really pick up on last time because I was too busy cackling at the ineffective but heartfelt contribution he made towards overpowering Chlorr. Turns out, though, that the others feel they'd been on the verge of victory until Mogget told Chlorr to run, and they feel that he's playing at some other game. Which maybe he is! But weirdly, I trust him?
