Makht krayz

Makht krayz is a level five abjuration spell which is cast upon the self, has a duration of ten minutes, and requires concentration to maintain.

Upon casting, a sphere of beta particle radiation with a thirty-foot radius is formed which moves with the castor.  In most cases beta radiation causes burns and tissue damage as well as other symptoms of radiation sickness.  But in the sphere, this radiation has a singular effect of leukocytosis which is an increase in the production of white blood cells.  Research has proven that thirty minutes of exposure can increase an adult’s white blood cell count by seventy percent.  This effect, called Neutrophilic Leukocytosis, is temporary as the count will return to normal after one to three days.

White blood cells flow through your bloodstream to fight viruses, bacteria, and other foreign invaders that threaten your health. When your body is in distress and an area is under attack, white blood cells rush in to help destroy the harmful substance and prevent illness.  The boost of these cells that makht krays creates can quickly heal injures, infections, and reduce inflammations.

However, overexposure can cause the blood to become too thick and cause breathing problems, stroke, and death, a condition known as hyperviscosity syndrome.  Due to this possibility, makht krays is a controlled spell only to be cast by medical personnel.
