Lux mundi

Lux mundi is an evocation of the sixth level, with a range of self, a duration of a minute, requires concentration to maintain, and a material requirement of a transparent sphere like a glass or crystal marble.

Lux mundi opens a type of portal upon the palm of the hands which acts as a window through the earth.  Constellations and the moon are visible by looking through the hands.  If angled correctly, sunlight will flow out of the palms.

Discovered in 1882 in New Jersey by Edwin Scribner, Lux mundi could have changed the world forever.  The industrial revolution ended around 1840, having brought the light bulb into existence.  If today’s spell had been discovered earlier many historians feel America’s technological advancement may have been delayed due to complacency.

Today, Lux mundi is limited to use outside of metropolitan areas and at least five miles from airports.
