Because if the Earth is ever hit by a massive solar flare all digital devices will be rendered useless, the Internet won't work, and even power grids will go down. It happened in 1859 when the telegraph sparked and burned out during The Carrington Event caused by a massive solar storm which engulfed our planet in a geomagnetic apocalypse. Luckily, not many people were connected to electricity or used the telegraph. But our world is TOTALLY digital and connected. That's when analogue and mechanical devices will come back into their own - and who knows how to use them? Boomers!\\xa0
