Dalila Jusic-LaBerge\xa0is a licensed marriage and family therapist practicing in California. Dalila graduated from UCLA, and got her masters degree in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University. She is the owner of Be Here & Now Counseling and Relationship Academy and has been practicing since 2006, working with individuals, couples, and families.\xa0Dalila currently offers online therapy services in the state of California.

She grew up in former Yugoslavia, a socialist country where women were considered to be equal to men, Dalila's seen that patriarchic values were still prominent. Women have the same legal rights as men do, but there are so many messages that both men and women get about how they should be in this world.

Women's behaviors and worldviews are especially scrutinized.\xa0 Since tribal societies, women were considered a commodity. Although we don't express this openly, this kind of mentality is still deep down in people's psyche. Moreover, parents raise women to be "nice girls," which makes it very hard for women to focus on their own wellbeing. This awareness led Dalila to be passionate about women's mental health.\xa0
