117. From back-to-back dysfunctional relationships, to my solo trip to Mexico... to finally becoming the woman I said I wanted to be! How'd I do it? (Conference)
For those of you who are just finding me and you haven't been able to hear my full story yet. Well here it is, I did this speech in 2019 at a conference called; Inspired. It was a woman empowerment event and I asked the audience full of women, who's your mirror? Society? Men? Your kids? Your parents? I challenge you to make YOU your only mirror..
\nThe Reka I was was in 2017 and before: my issue was thinking that how men saw me (mirror) was correct. You see I thought, I couldn\u2019t see myself and only other people could see how I was coming off. God forbid I come off as a cheater and I wasn\u2019t.... or a 'bad' girlfriend and I wasn't. I was looking in the wrong mirror. Instead of questioning \u2018why do they always think I\u2019m in the wrong\u2019 (projection) I always blamed me.. for them not being happy or cheating. Unfortunately, I was a target for insecure men and didn't know it. I had no idea what I was doing in these dating streets. So passed up a lot of red flags (when you know better you do better) and dating insecure men is the opposite of guarding your heart. Insecure men will do 1 of 2 things; abuse you or leave you.
