After an absolutely amazing fall, Chicago reminded us that Winter can hit at any time.\\xa0 Coming off a 12" snowfall yesterday, it reminded Marc of the implications for pilots across the northern latitudes.\\xa0 And its not just about preheating your engine.\\xa0 Pilot\'s have the responsibility for considering the effect of cold and snow on the entire airplane, as well as taxiway and runway conditions.\\xa0 And how about the impending weather, and in the case of an off airport landing, is the plane equipped to keep the pilot safe until help arrives?\\xa0 Join with Marc as he discussed those very topics.\\xa0 In the end, your airplane and your family will thank you for your preparedness for Winter Operations.

Marc also talked about the retirement of Mike Ragsdale, a 37 year veteran behind the yoke at American Airlines.\\xa0 A friend, a mentor, and as professional as they come, Mike will miss flying, his passengers, and the MD-80.\\xa0\\xa0But maybe not as much as they will miss him.\\xa0 Capt. Rags has not been in\\xa0a GA airplane in 37 years.\\xa0 It\'ll be fun to get him back to where it all started.\\xa0 Stay tuned for the report on his reaction!!!

\\n

With Winter upon us, Marc also asked the listeners what they would want as a gift.\\xa0 If you could pick any item out of Sporty\'s catalog, what would it be?\\xa0 Old School?\\xa0 New School?\\xa0 Expensive?\\xa0 Useful?\\xa0 Send us your thoughts and we\'ll pick up the conversation next time.
