NOTES FOR S2 E8:

 1. For a hosting company, there are many options. I love HostGator & my tech website friend recommends DreamHost. (I talk more about hosting in episode 6 of this season as well.)
 2. If you’re using a Wordpress free theme work at customizing it yourself, find a professional designer— use the nifty designer search tool here —or check out these guys and the awesome sites they create.
 3. Look into Search Engine Optimization. The free resource I mentioned: This is the helpful free resource for choosing valuable, well-searched key words. (2-3 searches a day). Decide best wording (see what google says) use that in title & 1 subtitle and a few times in article so google knows what you’re writing about. Learn how to get it pinned. A lot. And see if you can get strong backlinks to it. But if you want to dive in and learn from a pro, my friend Kelly of StickyBlogging seriously teaches you everything you need to know about SEO and it all starts with the great free content she has for you right here.
 4. Set up an email service, with MailChimp, ConvertKit, or Flodesk. Then create funnel ebooks or printable or exclusive access videos. Decide 3-4 topics and create something irresistible. (I use Canva Pro) Store it in google drive or dropbox or on website then create shareable links and share that as a url that auto pops up when subscribe. Create 3-4 sets of emails that eventually offers them a product you’re selling in that category and then adds them into your weekly email when they’re done the funnel.
 5. Start social media accounts, creating all the accounts in the same name as your blog’s name. (My ig isn’t)

Finally, consider learning from a true pro, with Lisa’s classes Create Your Blog Dream and Video for Bloggers. (Or sign up for both right here.) And StickyBlogging is invaluable for learning about SEO.
