In this episode Martyn Barker talks about the 'seed' that became 'Faded Flowers'. From a technicians bench in Amsterdam, to the Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto!
It's got a Suriname influence. Check out this video to hear some Suriname music. See if that groove about a minute in sounds familiar.
Here's a performance of 'Faded Flowers' from Shriekback's 2017 concert in London.

Martyn then talks about 'Fish Below the Ice' it's also from the 'Oil and Gold' album, he says  it's basically the 'brother' track to 'Faded Flowers'. 'Fish Below the Ice' was also performed at the 2017 show.

He ends the podcast with some kind words, 'cause as much of as a bad ass drummer he may be, he's a hell of a nice guy!
