Today we chat with DJ Mike Trotter who takes us on his journey through art, events, and ultimately music and djing, from North Carolina to New York City to Miami Beach. He shares insights about his music curration process and navigating the world of DJing.
Trotter is a force to be reckoned with, elevating his DJ career from his 8 year residencies in NYC, to shows all over the globe. He delivers a signature sound by fusing deep & melodic house with funky Disco elements, rolling basslines, and late night risque.
Mike\'s first large audience debut was opening for Walker & Royce and closing for Griz at Mysteryland 2016. Since then, he has commanded the decks in exotic places; from Tel Aviv and India, to the edgy clubs of Berlin and Paris. He is now becoming one of the most sought-after DJs in South Florida and beyond.
His achievements include international hype with mentions in the New York Times and Industry Magazine. Opening for Honey Dijon Wynwood Pride 2021 and closing for Hector Fonseca at Miami Beach Pride 2022. He is currently working on his first EP.
