It really doesn’t surprise me that I’m inspired to do another episode the day after I said - yet again! - that I would likely be pulling back on the frequency of the episodes, for now.

It doesn’t surprise me because it’s what pretty much always happens when we accept what is happening in the present moment.

When we let go and accept, we free ourselves to tap into the wonderful creativity that exists within each of us.

And that’s what today’s episode is all about!

Through the inner child work I’ve done over the past several years; through the mindfulness and self-compassion I’ve developed through daily practice, I’ve come to understand that the aversion I’ve felt my whole life was often confused and conflated with the grief I felt for the 5-year-old me who suffered the wounds that would be with me my whole life.

But, you see, aversion to the present moment experience can be permanent, but grief is always temporary.

It’s through the skill of acceptance that we come to the ability to discern between the two.

And, like me, you can do all of this without therapy by just engaging and committing to daily mindfulness and compassion practices.

Please note: While you can do it without therapy, by no means am I suggesting you should do it without therapy if that is an option for you. If you’d like to discuss this, schedule a free call below.
