One of the lesser-known impacts of stress on our bodies is the impact stress has on our memory.

\n

And if you\u2019ve ever forgotten something really important, you know the value of memory.

\n

Have you ever felt so thoroughly prepared for a meeting, a presentation, or an exam, and at the moment it was time to perform, your mind just went blank?

\n

Well, that\u2019s because the part of your brain responsible for recalling (and creating) memories, is offline during the stress response.

\n

Not only that, but while you sleep is when your short term memories are converted to long term memories, and sleep quality is universally impacted by chronic stress.
