By paying attention to our experiences through ALL of our senses - our five outer senses, our sense of the internal experience of body, emotions, and thoughts, and the sense of our connection to others - we expand our awareness.

\nThink of it like this: imagine your awareness is an espresso cup filled with water and you put a teaspoon of salt into it. The water is way too salty to drink, right?
\n
\nBut if you expand your awareness to the size of a 5-gallon jug, the same teaspoon of water is not noticeable.
\n
\nThe salt, of course, can be any of life\u2019s difficulties, small or large.
\n
\nAnd expanding your awareness enables you to maintain balance in the face of all of them.
\n
\nIt\u2019s simple. But it requires a bit of practice.
