This week our guest is Jana Boyer, Executive Director of the New Jersey Division of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. They are at the forefront on the fight to cure cancer. As with many non-profits, they have been affected by the COVID crisis. Fundraising has been a challenge, as well as the yearly gala postponed and finally being held as a Zoom gala, in order to recognize the society's Man and Woman of the year. Since its inception in 1949, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has invested nearly 1.3 billion dollars in groundbreaking research. They also provide assistance with medical bills, one on one emotional support and help fund much needed childhood cancer research. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
