Sheep blowfly strike is a major disease and welfare risk for the Australian Sheep Industry. Each year blowfly treatment and loss of production costs the Australian sheep industry $173 million. in this episode of It's Time For Ewe Fiona Macarthur is joined by Deb Maxwell to look at the latest recommendations for sheep blowfly control.\n\nDeb has been in the sheep extension services for the last 28 years with the Department of Primary Industries in Queensland and the Sheep CRC. She has been the technical manager and now the executive officer of ParaBoss since, Worm, Fly and Lice Boss was moved under the banner of the ParaBoss in 2014. Deb also runs her own superfine merino near Guyra where she employs the Paraboss recommendations against the high regional challenges of both worms and flies.
