Greetings, Summit Leaders.
Life and career are an adventure of a lifetime.
Having direction and vision are essential in planning with confidence.
Great leaders take the time to get alone, think about their lives and what they desire to accomplish and become.
Being alone to think about your life, writing down, and envisioning what you believe is your life's plan creates excitement for the journey ahead.
Whether you are just starting your career or a well-established leader, taking the time to get alone to think and set your goals is vital.
Wisdom encourages us to stand at the crossroads of life, consider the ancient paths of those before us, learn from them, and choose the best direction forward. The outcome is rest for our souls - mind, will, and emotions.
Conviction comes when we are sure we are moving in the right direction.
Someone asks, "How can I be sure?"
Leaders before us during ancient times believed in providential guidance and sought to hear within them, "this is the way walk in it when you turn to the right or the left." They believed!
Winston Churchill, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Thomas J. Watson, Sr are examples of leaders who believed in the calling. "In these days of difficulty, we Americans everywhere must and shall choose the path of social justice...the path of faith, the path of hope, and the path of love toward our fellow man." - Franklin D. Roosevelt
Believing is the cornerstone of these great leaders' lives and those of us who aspire to do great things in our life and career journey.
We admire people who know where they are going in life.   They have conviction and commit to the calling. When facing challenging times, they are optimistic and courageous. Their faith in the future inspires others to join their cause and builds confidence that the goal is possible.
Someone once said that "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."
A vision with the right motivation is empowering for your life and career. Leadership with belief, faith, and vision positions us to accomplish great things through our company and life.
Planning and action are outcomes of believing. When planning for the future, there will be unknowns. Great leaders understand this.
Nevertheless, they continue making their plans even though they do not have all the answers. Providence has a decisive impact on the outcomes of the best-laid strategies.
Humility is a great leader's wise counsel. These leaders account for the possibility that there are circumstances that will be out of their control.
Someone once wisely made this observation about planning and life. "I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle."
Knowing this, great leaders make their plans with confidence. They believe. Because of their faith, they expect, anticipate, and prepare for the desired outcome.
Here are four steps to consider in "Planning with Confidence."
 1. Take time to get alone in quietness to think about your life and career with pen and paper. It can be hours or days. 2. Write down what you sense your life calling to be. 3. What will be the outcome and impact if I choose this pathway? 4. Do you sense, "this is the way, walk in it?" If yes, "Do you believe?"
Summit Leaders are believers. They expect, anticipate, and prepare for their vision and company's vision for the future. I like being around them. They inspire me!
 Victory!
