\\nToday we are back in the book of Filipino folklore collected by Mabel Cook Cole. In the first story, a couple plants such amazing sugar cane that the daughter of the sun and the moon sends down stars to go get it and ends up with a husband as well. In the second story, also from the Itneg people, a son is cast away from his home, but makes a new home full of people by splitting up a golden betel nut.
