Frozenfar. The North. Icewind Dale. Whatever you chose to call this desolate and inhospitable land, the north became a haven for those wanting to disappear from the world. In Icewind Dale ten towns came together to form a settlement and offer a new beginning for the forgotten, and for nearly 400 years, Ten-Towns has known peace and war, prosperity and poverty. Their people are resilient and through it all, have come to symbolize the resilience of all.

Just north of Ten-Towns there used to be a port settlement at the mouth of the Sea of Moving Ice. Known as Black Cliff, this used to be a port for those brave enough to navigate the ice pack to import their goods into Icewind Dale. Used to.

As our story begins, Hefrumlir Warbraids and Hlin Trollbane find themselves in the port settlement of Black Cliff where a mysterious ship is about to make land.
