Wednesday April 27 at 2:45pm as I pulled up at the boxing gym to train with my coach I received a phone call that delivered news that completely shattered my world.
\nI'd dropped my 6 year old whippet 'Coach' (my soulmate and the absolute love of my life) to the vet for a minor surgery on her dislocated toe. The phone call was to inform me that tragedy had hit. That the unthinkable had happened. That the one who meant more to me than anything in this world had drawn her last breath on the operating table and I would not be taking her home, ever again.
\nJust between you and me, I've protected myself from loss for 39 years (which is kind of a loss in itself), making this experience super tough. Bobby gets it, he lost his Orlando late last year... so today we talk about pets, love, loss, grief and the lessons amidst the heartache.
